Abstract

921,388. Sliding doors and shutters. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. Nov. 28, 1960 [Jan. 21, 1960], No. 2305/60. Class 20 (3). [Also in Group XXV] A flexible door or shutter comprises a series of laths 1, e.g. of wood (or according to the Provisional Specification, plastics), each secured to a flexible supporting strip 3 by a fastener 2, the legs 5 of which have been forced into a member 1 to displace bifurcations 7, 8 of each leg 5 in opposite directions, the supporting strip 3 in the offset portion 11 passing between the base 4 of the fastener 2 and the member 1. The strip 3 is secured to the members 1 at each end of the door or shutter by screws &c. 13. By utilizing curved guide tracks the door may be located on part of an article of furniture to extend when open at an angle to the plane of an opening.
