897,397. Roll shutters. AUSTIN (LEYTON) Ltd., F. Aug. 9, 1960 [Jan. 22, 1960; Jan. 25, 1960; March 25, 1960], Nos. 2398/60, 2611/60 and 10638/60. Class 20(3) [Also in Group XIV] A roll shutter for cupboards &c. has wooden slats 2 maintained in edge to edge relationship by transverse thin tempered steel strips 4 fixed to the end slats 3 by screws 6 and held close to the remaining slats by staples 7 or screws or rivets. A backing piece 5 of fabric or plastic sheeting is adhesively secured to the slats 2 and the top and bottom edges of the shutter are formed with projections 8 which engage slots 9 in the cupboard. Specifications 876,767 and 891,812 are referred to.
