921,217. Switchgear structures. SOCIETE ANONYME DE PARTICIPATIONS APPABEILLAGE GARDY. June 25, 1959 [Feb. 17, 1959], No. 21831/59. Class 38 (5). A switchgear structure includes a withdrawable circuit-breaker 22 and a stationary assembly including fixed isolating contacts and a bus-bar assembly 17a . . . 17c at the front of the circuit-breaker and a current transformer 25, earthing switch 36 and a cable box 35 below the circuit-breaker. The circuit-breaker easing, the current transformer casing, the housings 14, 16 for the fixed isolating contacts and the through bushing assembly 44 of the cable box 35 are formed from synthetic resin, e.g. ethoxyline resin. The fixed components below the circuit-breaker are straddled by a frame having rollers 85, 90 and carrying the circuit-breaker which is provided with horizontally disposed guide rollers 96 to guide the movable frame in the fixed assembly. A shutter 47 for covering the fixed isolating contacts is operated by cables 49 and levers 56 which are moved by a projection on the movable frame. The earthing switch 36 may be closed by a control handle 40 only when the circuit-breaker is withdrawn, insertion of the circuit-breaker causes a panel 80 of the movable frame to open the switch 36 if it is not already open. The switch 36 is connected by a cable 98 to a latch 79 which prevents the removal of a front panel 67 unless the earthing switch is closed. A detent 74 prevents the replacing of the panel 67 unless the current transformer 25 is correctly positioned.
