Abstract

921,130. Portable receptacles. LEOPOLD & CIE S.A. Nov. 29, 1960, No. 40931/60. Class 66. [Also in Group I]. A dust bin or like receptacle comprises a hollow metallic body 1 closed at one end and having a base member 10 formed from soundreducing material secured thereto which has an integral dependent hollow cylindrical flange 14 to rest on the ground. The body includes an extension 3 accommodated in a slot 16 in the flange 14, and the base member 10 is secured to it by rivets 18 passing through the flange 14 and extension 3. Ribs 20 extend from the flange 14 to an exterior ring 15 thereon, on each side of a rivet 18. The lid 21 is also made of a sound-reducing material.
