Abstract
921,114. Haymaking machines. JOSEF BAUTZ A.G. April 11, 1960 [April 10, 1959], No. 12891/60. Class 6(3). [Also in Group XXXII]. A rake-wheel type hayrake comprises a T shaped structure 6, 7, adapted to be attached to lift links 2, 3 and rotatably supporting a bush 9 on which is mounted a bush 12 acutely angled to a horizontal bush 15, so that the shaft 16 of an attached hayrake may be rotated either in the bush 15 or about a shaft 13. The bush 12 is downwardly inclined so that the working forces on the rake Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown), do not produce a turning moment about the shaft 13. In operation the locking pin 17 is in position and prevents turning of the shaft 16 in the bush 15, but the pin 18 in the bush 12 is removed so that the rake when moving over uneven ground rocks about the shaft 13. The rake may be swung through 180 degrees about the shaft 16 however if the pin 17 is removed, so that a different working operation may be carried out.
