838,640. Shovelling machines. NEWBRIDGE PLANT SERVICES Ltd. July 22, 1958, No. 23524/58. Addition to 785,585. Class 68(1) The tractor-mounted, shovelling attachment is a development of that disclosed in the parent Specification, which is referred to, the development being that the boom-supporting, king post turning mechanism consists of a gear wheel 23 secured to the vertical king post 7 and meshing with a second gear wheel or sector 20 that is rotatably mounted about a shaft 9 secured in the king post supporting framework 1 parallel to the king post. The second gear wheel can be oscillated about this shaft 9 by a double-acting jack 17 pivotally secured to a point adjacent the periphery of the gear wheel or to an arm 18 secured to the gear sector 20 and to the framework 1.
