Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0920755/IV(a)/1> (wherein X and Y, which may be the same or different, each represent a hydrogen or halogen atom or an alkyl, alkoxy, nitro or cyano radical, A represents a straight or branched alkylene radical, and R1 and R2 represent alkyl or cycloalkyl radicals or jointly form with N a heterocyclic ring containing a second nitrogen atom which carries a hydrogen atom or a C1-4 alkyl radical) and their acid addition salts and quaternary ammonium compounds, and the preparation thereof by reacting an isocyanate of the general formula <FORM:0920755/IV(a)/2> with a thioalcohol of the general formula HS-A-Z (wherein Z represents -NR1R2 or a halogen atom or a hydroxy, optionally protected amino, nitrile or carbonamide group), or an amine of the general formula <FORM:0920755/IV(a)/3> with a haloformic ester of the general formula Hal-CO-S-A-Z (wherein Hal represents a halogen atom), or a salt of a thiocarbamic acid of the general formula <FORM:0920755/IV(a)/4> with a reactive ester of an alcohol of the general formula HO-A-Z, and in all cases subsequently converting Z into -NR1R2 if it is not this already, and, if desired, converting the product into an acid addition salt or quaternary ammonium compound. The products have inflammation-inhibiting properties.
