Abstract
A plant growth regulant composition comprises an N, N1-ethylene bis (N-nitroamide) of a saturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having one to four carbon atoms and a solid carrier and/or a surface active agent. The surface active agent may be mixed with water and/or organic solvents. Specified solid carriers are mica, pyrophyllite and clays. In an example N, N1-ethylene bis-(N-nitro formamide),-(N-nitro acetamide) or-(N-nitro butyramide) are formulated with acetone, a condensation product of an alkyl phenol and ethylene oxide as surface active agent and water.ALSO:A fungicidal and plant growth regulant composition comprises an N,N1-ethylene bis (N-nitroamide) of a saturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having one to four carbon atoms and a solid carrier and/or a surface active agent. The surface active agent may be admixed with water and/or an organic solvent. Specified solid carriers are mica, pyrophyllite and clays. In an example N,N1-ethylene bis-(N-nitroformamide), - (N - nitroacetamide) or -(N - nitro butyramide) are formulated with acetone, a condensation product of an alkyl phenol and ethylene oxide as surface active agent and water.
