919,739. Seat frames. TAN-SAD CHAIR CO. (1931) Ltd. Nov. 3, 1961 [Nov. 5, 1960], No. 38087/60. Class 52 (2). An office chair incorporates a combined seat and arm rest support comprising a Y-shape metal pressing 1 having an inverted trough section centre limb and angle section splayed limbs 1a, a dependent stem 2 secured to the centre web 1b between the side flanges 1d of the trough section of the pressing, and a pair of open-ended tubes 3 extending through apertures in the side flanges 1d and welded or brazed to the side flanges and to the stem 2. The stems 6 of arm rest assemblies are secured in the socket ends of the tubes 3 by means of set screws 5 which also connect seat supporting brackets 4 to the tubes 3.
