Abstract

919,592. Switch covers. HUBBELL Inc., HARVEY. Oct. 18, 1961, No. 37393/61. Class 38 (5). A sealing cover-plate 36, 38 for a switch-box 12 has a hollow projecting finger grip portion 54 to be mounted over the switch operating member 32 and a flexible portion 64 capable of elongation without significant stretching of its material. The cover 38, made of natural or synthetic rubber, is mounted over a conventional face-plate 36. The flexible portion 64 comprises a number of grooves alternately on opposite sides of the cover 38 forming a " bellows." In a modification (Fig. 15) the sealing cover 38 is moulded about an integral plate 92.
