Abstract

796,622. Snap-action switches; switch cases; handles. N. S. F., Ltd. March 11, 1957 [March 9, 1956], No. 7451/56. Class 38 (5). The operating member 17 has a spherical part 28 by which it is pivotally mounted in a sleeve 18 on the casing 10, and hermetically sealed to the sleeve by a pair of elastic rings 30, 31 which are compressed by screwing a ring 32 into the sleeve. The rings may be of circular cross-section, as shown, or oval or square with the corner engaging the surface of 28. As shown, the member 17 supports a carrier 19 for a spring-plunger 20 which can be moved to either side to connect a contact 13 to contact 11 or 12 by way of movable member 15. Alternatively two members 15 may be operated. A sealing ring 27 facilitates panel mounting.
