Abstract

918,811. Discharging batteries. DAIMLERBENZ A.G. March 17, 1961 [March 18, 1960], No. 9846/61. Drawings to Specification. Class 38 (4). In an electrical supply system for a motor vehicle having a battery to which there are connected essential and non-essential current consuming circuits, protective means are provided to switch off the non-essential circuits when the battery reaches a predetermined state of discharge, thereby preventing premature discharge of the battery. The protective means comprises a density measuring device responsive to the specific gravity of the electrolyte.
