918,671. Forage-harvesters; haymaking. LUNDELL (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd. June 27, 1960 [April 1, 1959], No. 11129/59. Class 6(3). In order to enable a flail-type forage-harvester to be used for haymaking, the normal discharge-shoot is replaceable by a cowling 2 of arcuate form in side-elevation, the cowling having a further detachable section 4 containing a vertically-pivoted plate 8, the detachable section 4 being removed during tedding but used in forming windrows, the plate 8 then being swung to the side of the machine opposite to that on which the windrow is to be formed. The portions 2 and 4 have flanges 3, 5 whereby they can be bolted to each other and to the harvester body 1. The plate 8 is movable by rotation of a spindle 9 which is remotely controlled by cables 12, 13 accessible to the driver of the towing tractor.
