This Specification contains the same subject-matter as Specifications 978,896 and 978,897 but also includes a modification wherein the tine-bars 114 are tubular and are mounted in square supporting discs 113 forming the rotor 112. The bars 114 are journalled in bosses 116 in the end-discs and are retained therein by headed bolts 144. The end-discs have cylindical guards 125 which co-operate with a cover 148 on the fixed bearing 133 of the central rotor shaft 126 to prevent access of crop to the bearings 132. The bearings 133 are slidable in the arms 102 of the U-shaped main frame 101 and are guided by pins 135 and slots (Fig. 10, not shown). The central shaft has square plates 128 which engage the discs 113 of the rotor but can be withdrawn by turning the shaft relatively to the rotor through 45 degrees when the plates 128 can pass through corresponding square clearance holes in the discs. The machine has an adjustable drawbar 157, vertically-adjustable castors 103, 104 and an arcuate screen 189. The adjustment of the bars about their axes is effected by pins 120 engaging holes 122 in arcuate plates 121 secured to the central disc. The drive to the rotor is from the tractor via gear-box 167, shaft 153, and belt-drive 149.
