Abstract

918,260. Aerials; pulse radar. SOC. ALSACIENNE DE. CONSTRUCTIONS MECANIQUES. Aug. 1, 1958 [Aug. 3, 1957], No. 24966/58. Drawings to Specification. Class 40 (7). An antenna lens is associated with a cluster of horns mounted symmetrically on each side of the lens axis. Scanning is effected electrically by the sequentive correction of the horns to the receiver or transmitter. The horns are coupled by a waveguide system to the receivers, through waveguide ferrite switches. The latter line each controlled by an associated electromagnet which is energized through a commutator or switch. As the commutator is moved progressively round its angle of rotation the magnets are energized in turn, and the horns coupled in turn to the receiver or transmitter. Those horns not so coupled are connected to matched terminations which absorb received signals.
