In a pulse radar system incorporating a transmitter-receiver A, narrow and wide beam aerials 6 and 17 are mounted together for azimuthal and elevation scanning, the transmitter-receiver is normally connected by waveguide 20 to aerial 17 until a video echo signal amplitude cathode-ray tube indicator or control device receives maximum signal amplitude, when relay 22 is manually or automatically actuated to transpose waveguide 20 to aerial 6; and during waveguide change-over, relay 29 is de-energized to break the H.T. feed to magnetron 1.
