Abstract
917,708. Burners. SCHIELDROP & CO. Ltd. Dec. 31, 1959 [Oct. 1, 1958], No. 31414/58.' Class 75 (1). A fuel burner comprises an axially movable air valve 15, an axially movable fuel valve 16 and a manually rotatable plate 30 having an eccentric pin 37 adapted to move the air valve and a plurality of adjustable screws 42 adapted to move the fuel valve. The eccentric pin 37 is connected by a pivoted rod 39 to a block 41 secured to a rod 27 connected to the air valve 15. The adjustable screws 42 are arranged in a circular path in the plate 30 and abut in turn a roller 44 on one end of a bell-crank lever 45 rotatably mounted on a post 49. The other end of the bell-crank lever is slotted to engage a pin 47 on a block 48 on the operating rod of the fuel valve 16. The fuel valve comprises a rod with a V-shaped and V-sectioned groove 25 slidable in a valve seat 26. The valves may be rotatable or movable along a helical path.
