[Also in Group XXIV] A lamp holder 2, supported on a lazy-tongs mechanism 1, may be set in required positions by locking means 13, 13<SP>1</SP> in the end links 7, 8, co-operating with a base member 6. Spring- loaded detents 13, 13<SP>1</SP> engage recesses 11, 11<SP>1</SP> in a wooden base-plate 6 divided into two arcuate sectors, the base 6 being pivotable about a vertical axis with respect to a support plate 3. The base may also be located by spring detents.
