Abstract
916,190. Fuel elements. ATOMENERGI A.B. Sept. 26, 1961 [Sept. 27, 1960], No. 34460/61. Class 39 (4). [Also in Group XXXVI] Fuel rods for atomic reactors comprise tubes of an alloy of zirconium with 1.5% tin which contain fissionable material. The rods are anodized and may then be oxidized in steam at an increased temperature and pressure to produce a corrosion-resistant oxidic film.
