873,594. Nuclear fuel elements. COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE. Aug. 21, 1959 [Aug.29, 1958], No. 28635/59. Class 39(4). Clusters of sheathed fuel rods are held together by groups of short tubes such as 12 encircled by a metal belt 10. The fuel rods lie in the spaces between the tubes, which engage restrictions in the rods. The tubes and belt are spot welded together, and are of stainless steel. The fuel may be uranium oxide or carbide.
