Abstract
A chromium base alloy comprises:- .C.0.05 - 0.15% .Nb.0.5 - 1.5% .Y.0.05 - 0.2% .Th.0.05 - 0.2% .Zr.0 - 0.21% the balance, apart from incidental impurities, being chromium The alloy may be extruded at a temperature of up to 2800 DEG F. (e.g. 2700 DEG F.), rolled at 2000 DEG F. and then at 1500 DEG F.-1800 DEG F., the sheets finally being stress relieved at 2000 DEG F.
