914,482. Cheese moulds. ROSSEN, H. A., and RIES, O. H., [trading as PERFORA VOORHEEM ROSSEN & CO.]. Oct. 28, 1959 [Nov. 1, 1958], No. 36584/59. Class 84. A mould of the kind having a loose slit shell which can slide inside the wall of the mould has a groove about the periphery of the bottom of a width just to accommodate the bottom edge of the shell in its lowest position. In the form shown in Fig. 3 the curved bottom 11 of the mould 1 which may be stiffened by ribs 13 has a vertical section 12 defining the groove 4 to accommodate the shell 5. In the form shown in Fig. 1 the mould 1, which may have a complete bottom 2 or supply a flange projecting inwardly from the side wall has an additional removable plate 3, stiffened by ribs 7 and flanged downwardly and outwardly at the edges to define the groove 4. In another form, projecting tongues, at intervals instead of complete flanges, are used to space the edges of the plate 3 from the wall of the mould. Specification 881,992 is referred to.
