913,990. Heating feed-water. GREEN & SON Ltd., E. Aug. 8, 1960 [Aug. 7, 1959], No. 27103/59. Class 64 (1). [Also in Group XII] Preheated boiler feed-water is supplied to a first economizer 5 in the gas pass of the furnace, together with water from a second economizer 6. The air for combustion is heated at 10 by water withdrawn from the boiler, which is cooled to just above the dew point of the waste gases before being fed to the second economizer 6.
