Abstract
912,805. Terminal boards. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. June 2, 1959 [June 3, 1958], No. 17685/58. Class 38 (1). In enclosed apparatus, such as a watt-hour meter 10 having terminal conductors 22, 23 to which connectors 15 . . . 18 are attached and housed in a terminal enclosure 13 outside the casing 11 of the meter, the wall of the casing adjacent the enclosure is broken away so that the meter may be assembled in the casing with the connectors attached. Ribs 25 in the enclosure locate the connectors which are held in place by a retaining-plate 26 having a wall portion 26a which closes the opening in the casing wall except for passages for the terminal conductors. The upper surface of wall 26a forms a continuation of the top of the casing wall and receives a gasket 24 located between the casing and a cover 12 therefor. Plate 26 is apertured to permit access to the terminal screws 21 of the connectors and a cover 14 is provided for the enclosure 13. Connecting wires enter the enclosure 13 through apertures 20 in the end wall thereof.
