972,931. Earthed enclosures for electrical apparatus. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. May 1, 1963 [Feb. 1, 1962; June 15, 1962], Nos. 3859/62 and 23138/62. Headings H2B and H2E. A sheet metal enclosure for electrical apparatus such as switches or sockets, or trunking or other enclosures to earth a conductor, has a prong 3 pressed out of the metal of the base so that it projects into the box and runs parallel to the box for most of its length. The prong 3 is of a size to fit into the bore of a conventional connector 4, and be clamped there by screws, which connector is earthed by lead 5.
