908,901. Building units. LINTON, R. A. May 16, 1961 [Feb. 18, 1960; July 29, 1960], Nos. 5832/60 and 26530/60. Class 87 (1). [Also in Group XXI] Prefabricated concrete constructional units (e.g. for groynes and sea walls, see Group XXI) comprise beams, each beam 6 (Fig. 2) or 8 (Fig. 5) being of rectangular cross-section and having at each end a hole 4 uniformly spaced from the side faces 2 and the end of the beam and filler means for the sides of the cellular structures (Figs. 3, 8) formed by superimposing the ends of similar beams upon each other with their holes in registry and the beams in line or at right angles to each other, the holes then receiving a securing member, e.g. iron rod 7 (Fig. 3), the filler means comprising an integral fin or fins 3 (Fig. 2) or a filler piece or pieces 13 (Fig. 8) supported in grooves 9 (Fig. 5) in the beam 8, the filler means terminating at each end at the same spacing from the holes 4 as the spacing between the holes and said end and side faces, slots 5 being disposed uniformly about the axes of the holes (to form a continuous groove as 12 in Fig. 8) to receive the ends of the filler means of adjacent beams.
