Abstract

906,298. Agricultural implements lawn mowers. LANDMASTER Ltd. June 15, 1961 [June 23, 1960], No. 21993/60. Class 6(1). A basic unit for a cultivating machine comprises an engine 12 capable of operating with its crankshaft either vertical or horizontal and handlebars 2 connected to the engine 12 and being adjustable for use with the engine in either of its two positions. As shown in Fig. 1, the engine 12 is attached to a frame 5 which carries a cultivator 32 by means of a tube 33 which is clamped in a socket 11 of the frame 5, the shaft 34 of the cultivator having a squared outer end which fits over the end 16 of the engine crankshaft. The handlebars are provided with adjustable handles 22. As shown in Fig. 3 the unit is attached to a grass cutter and the handles 22 are adjusted to suit the new position of the unit.
