Abstract

905,812. Agricultural implements. FARMFITTERS Ltd. Feb. 7, 1961 [Nov. 27, 1959; Feb. 5, 1960], Nos. 40498/59 and 4265/60. Classes 6(1), 6(2) and 6(3). A power handle for use with implements comprises a power unit 8 mounted on a frame 15 provided with a handle 19. The frame 15 is provided with slots 23, 24 which engage on rods in an implement, the frame being locked in position by catches 25. A drive block 4 is attached to the motor shaft 5 and imparts drive to the implement. The block 4 is provided with screw holes for bolting a tool such as a mower blade directly to the block. A groove 4<SP>11</SP> is formed in the block for attaching a belt of a belt drive and two pins 4<SP>111</SP> are provided for engaging in slots 27 of a driven member of an implement such as a rotary cultivator 33. The belt drive may be used to drive an engine-less mower, the power handle being attached to cross rods on the mower frame.
