1,183,191. Cultivating implements. A. SHARMAN and J. CRITCHLEY. 19 June, 1967 [20 July, 1966], No. 32493/66. Heading A1B. A cultivator for attachment to a hand power tool comprises a wedge shaped cylindrical cam 15 fixed on a drive shaft 11 and cam followers 17 attached to bars 20, 21 which are connected by tension springs 23 and are pivotally mounted in the casing 10. Removable spikes are inserted into the bars 20, 21. The cultivator is attached by a flexible drive cable to the power tool and a long shaft is provided so that the device can be held in the hand without stooping. The cam may alternatively be star shaped or may be an eccentrically mounted disc.
