Abstract

906,098. Stays. WILKES BERGER ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. May 18, 1961 [July 11, 1960], No. 24152/60. Class 65 (1). A stay for a dressing table mirror or the like comprises two interpivoted links 7, 8, one of which is formed as a fork capable of being deformed so as to temporarily alter the spacing between the limbs to enable it to be detached from the part to which it is pivotally connected, the ends of the stay being pivoted respectively to the mirror 1 and the rear end of a rearwardlyextending bracket 18 on the dressing table 3 so that the links are disposed at an angle tc one another when the stay is in its closed position and the mirror is vertical. The various pivots are provided with frictional means. A link 24 is frictionally mounted on one link and has a frictional pin-and-slot connection with the other link, the pin 25 preferably carrying a wing-nut (not shown) so that the mirror may be locked in any desired position.
