Class 75(3) [Also in Group XIV] A holder by which an electric torch n may be supported in any position or may be suspended comprises a pair of legs a made from metal strip, pivotally connected at one end and bent into the form of hooks d at the opposite end, a short pivot post c mounted to rotate on a pin b connecting the legs, a metal strip e pivoted to the post at f and carrying a pivotally attached L- shaped arm i at the opposite end and a clip m of resilient strip metal to receive the torch n, pivotally attached to the other end of the arm i, so that the whole arrangement can be folded together compactly when not in use. The legs a are of slightly different lengths so that they can rest one inside the other in the closed position. The hooks d are bent out of the plane of the legs a so that their free ends lie in that plane. In use, the legs a are unfolded and the strip e is extended at right angles to them, being held in place by a sleeve g sliding on the pivot post c and having a slot embracing the strip e.
