A chamber housing has a capacitor mounted on the outside thereof at an aperture closed by the said capacitor, which has disconnectable terminals extending into the housing so that it may be interchanged; a second capacitor mounted on the outside of the housing has leads extending into the housing, and circuitry within the housing connects with the said terminals and said leads and has further leads to an electric motor or other electrical apparatus. Capacitors 1 and 2 (Fig. 1) which are respectively motor start and motor run capacitors of air conditioning equipment, are mounted on a housing 3, which contains a switching relay 9 (Fig. 3). The wall of the housing to which the capacitor 2 is attached is formed with an aperture which is closed by the capacitor when fitted into position, while capacitor 1 is mounted on a spring-biased bracket 7 ; button terminals 8 on the capacitor serving to retain it in position. The terminals 13 of the motor run capacitor and the terminals of the motor start capacitor are connected to the switching relay by leads as shown in Fig. 3, while leads 14, 15 and 17 pass through the hole 37 to the motor. A second embodiment with two motor start and two motor run capacitors is described (Fig. 4, not shown).
