905,312. Mine roof supports. DOWTY MINING EQUIPMENT Ltd. March 7, 1961 [March 16, 1960], No. 9309/60. Class 20 (2). A mine roof support 10, 13, 14, 17 having a cantilever portion 22 is provided with a leafspring 27 for roof engaging purposes which is attached at one end to an intermediate portion of the roof bar 17-as by two countersunk bolts-and at its free end diverges upwardly therefrom. The member 27 is provided with a nosing radius 29 and the support is connected to the conveyer 31 by an hydraulic jack 32. The member 27 may be of rigid construction and supported by spring means.
