904,735. Orientating articles on rollerway conveyers. B.U. SUPPLIES & MACHINERY CO. Ltd. Oct. 24, 1958 [Jan. 9, 1958], No. 893/58. Class 78 (1). A rollerway conveyer comprises a series of driven rollers 1 and an abutment X, so arranged in relation to driven rollers 7 offset from the centre line C of the conveyer, that a rectangular newspaper bundle 12 on meeting the abutment will be turned about it by the rollers 7 and by engagement with guide 11 will be displaced through 90 degrees finally into the end-on position shown. Idle rollers 6 support the article where it is not in contact with rollers 7. Rollers 7 are driven frictionally by belt 8, which belt assists the turning movement of the bundle 12.
