Abstract

903,636. Ladders. FAES, C. Sept. 25, 1959 [Sept. 26, 1958], No. 32695/59. Class 20 (2). A ladder 8 is mounted on a foot 2, which allows it to be placed on sloping ground, by a pivot 5 at the centre of a circle of which a rack 6 on the foot 2 is an arc and engages a tooth on the lowest rung 12 of the ladder. The pivot 5 engages a slot in a lug at the bottom of the ladder so that the ladder can be raised to disengage the tooth on the rung 12 from the rack in order to adjust the position of the foot. Stated to be applicable to scaffolding.
