Abstract

902,296. Manipulating sliding clasp fasteners. SHAW, W. J. April 7, 1961 [Jan. 14, 1960], No. 1406/60. Class 43. A device for facilitating the operation of slide fasteners, the device comprises a rigid plate or strip 1 which has a slot 2 for entry of the finger-piece of the slide fastener and a chain 8 attached thereto, the slide fastener being operated by pulling on the chain. The slot may be formed by slitting the plate and bending the plate in opposite directions above and below the slit. The chain has a small weight attached to the free end. The plate has side flanges 6 which may be ornamented. The edges of the slot may be serrated.
