Abstract

901,028. Transfer copying paper. ANCAR A.G. March 18, 1959, No. 9471/59. Class 96. Sheets of paper, which may be assembled as a pad or as a telewriting roll &c., and which are responsive to the pressure of writing &c. for the production of copies without intermediate sheets of carbon paper &c. have their reverse sides coated throughout, or on selected areas 7 with a layer of an inorganic pigment, e.g. barium sulphate, chromium hydroxide green, chrome yellow, carbon black, ultramarine, titanium dioxide, or sodium aluminium silicate &c., and a binder, e.g methyl cellulose with abietic acid or isomers thereof, or phenol, polyvinyl, or alkyd resins and, optionally, other colouring matter, e.g. alizarine, plasticizers, e.g. neat's foot oil sulphonate, phthalates, glycerine, or glycols, &c., solvents, e.g. aliphatic hydrocarbons, chlorohydrocarbons, alcohols, esters, or ketones, and alcohol-soluble waxes or paraffin wax &c. The upper surface of the copy-receiving sheet is coated, e.g. also in selected areas with microcrystalline substances, e.g. microcrystalline ceresin or isoceresin, e.g. as a thin coating of 1 to 6 gms. per sq. metre. The solvent evaporates after applying the reproductive coating.
