899,568. R.F. couplings; valve amplifying circuits. NIPPON ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Jan. 20, 1961 [Jan. 22, 1960], No. 2398/61. Classes 40(6) and 40(7). [Also in Group XL(b)] A parallel push-pull hybrid circuit consists of a first terminal 15, a pair of second terminals 16, 20 separated by a quarter wavelength from the first terminal, a pair of third terminals 17, 19 separated by a quarter wavelength from the second terminals and a fourth terminal 18 resistively terminated and located a quarter and threequarters wavelength from the third terminals respectively; all terminals being connected to a ring circuit comprising a coaxial tube, Lecher line or a waveguide. With an input at 15, output is obtained at 16, 20 in one phase and at 17, 19 in the opposite phase, or with inputs at 16, 20 in one phase and at 17, 19 in the opposite phase, a combined output is obtained at 15. A parallel push-pull amplifier circuit using a parallel push-pull hybrid circuit comprises, Fig. 4, a signal input terminal 22, a signal output terminal 23, terminating resistors 24, 25 and vacuum type amplifiers 26, 27, 28, 29 operated in the grounded grid mode, and connected by resonant lengths of a coaxial tube, Lecher line or waveguide in ring circuits 30, 31.
