898,265. Beer engines. WOOD & PERKINS Ltd. Dec. 28, 1960 [Dec. 24, 1959], No. 43920/59. Class 102(1). A beer engine includes a mixing chamber comprising a union 5 connected between a pump cylinder 1, a supply pipe 2 and a pipe 17 connected through a filter to an overflow dish 4. The filter comprises a housing 21 fitted with a non-return valve 22a and a cap 23 having inlets 24 and screwing into the housing 21; filtering pads 25 and gauge 26 is clamped by the cap 23. A manually operable slide value 20 and a tap 15 may be provided in the pipe 17.
