Abstract
898,128. Propelling mine trucks. DUSTERLOH FABRIK FUR BERGWERKSBEDARF G.m.b.H., G. April 7, 1960 [April 14, 1959], No. 12373/60. Class 104 (2). In hydraulic apparatus for pushing mine trucks along a track in which there are arranged two known hydraulic arrangements, one of which pushes trucks in one direction along the track and the other pushes trucks in the other direction and each arrangement comprises two adjacently disposed working cylinders to the single-acting pistons of which pressure is applied alternately, the two arrangements are interconnected so that when one of the arrangements acting in one direction is operative drivers of the other arrangement, acting in the other direction, move out of the path of the trucks. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, two hydraulic arrangements 1, 2 are opposed to one another in their direction of operation and each arrangement comprises two cylinders 3, 4 in which pistons 5 or 5<SP>1</SP> are reciprocated alternately in the direction of arrows A or B by hydraulic liquid supplied by a pump 11 from a reservoir 7 through a main slide valve 8 which is reversed by auxiliary slide valves 9, 10. In the position of the manually-operated valve 12 shown in Fig. 1, the fuel delivered by the pump 11 is returned to the reservoir 7. If the hydraulic arrangement 1 is to be actuated the valve 12 is manually moved downwards so that the connections indicated in the top box are established. In this position liquid delivered by the pump 11 passes through a pipe 13 to a branch point 14 and then by way of a control pipe 15 to move a circuit connecting valve 16 up one position illustrated in box 17 so that liquid now flows through a pipe 18 to the rear faces of the pistons 5<SP>1</SP> of the hydraulic arrangement 2 to move the pistons 5<SP>1</SP> to the inoperative position. When the pistons 5<SP>1</SP> reach their rest position the pressure in the circuit increases and the valve 16 is moved to its final position indicated by the bottom box in which position liquid is delivered to pipe 19 to the arrangement 1, to reciprocate the pistons 5 in the cylinders 3, 4 in known manner to advance the trucks in the direction of arrow C by means of drivers 20, 21 engaging the truck axles. If the trucks are now to be moved over the track in the direction of arrow D by the hydraulic arrangement 2, the valve 12 is changed over manually to the position shown in the bottom box; the valve 16<SP>1</SP> takes over the function of valve 15 and the hydraulic arrangement 1 is returned to its inoperative position. In the arrangement for moving drivers out of the path of the truck shown in Fig. 2a, the drivers 31 are pivotally mounted on a slide 32 of a two relatively movable part construction 32, 33. The weighted end 36 of the driver 31 extends downwardly into an aperture 35 in the bottom wall of the slide part 33, connected to a piston rod, and when the part 33 is moved in the direction of arrow E, on each driving stroke, the rear end of the slide part 32 movable within the slide part 33, engages a rear wall 37 of the part 33 and the driver 31 is held in the erect or truck driving position. When the part 33 is moved in the opposite direction to the arrow E, on each return stroke, the edge 38 of the aperture 35 abuts the part 36 to pivot the driver 31 to the inoperative position. In a further arrangement, Fig. 3 (not shown), the pivoted drivers are moved to the inoperative position by spring loaded rods mounted in the slide carrying the drivers.
