A stirrer for a liquid mixer comprises a metal shaft 5 having a stirrer member 4 of dished circular form secured to its lower end in swash-plate-like manner, with the concave side uppermost. The stirrer member 4 may be of nylon or polythene and may be moulded on the shaft so that the plastic material is continued over the shaft in the manner of a sleeve for the greater portion of its length.
