Abstract

1,160,289. Domestic mixers. MOULINEX S.A. 28 Nov., 1966 [2 Dec., 1965], No. 53185/66. Heading B1C. A domestic food mixer has a manually held driving unit (10, Fig. 1, not shown) into the base of which is fitted a spindle 16 with a mixing tool at its lower end. The spindle is enclosed in a sheath 20 connected at its upper end to a sleeve 60 which clips onto the driving unit, and at its lower end to a dished cover 22 over the tool, and to allow the spindle to be cleaned the sheath comprises two spaced rigid rods 52, 54 between which there is access to the spindle. The rods are of T-section and bowed. The spindle is flexible has bearing washers 61, 63 fixed to it and passes with clearance 62, 64 through .the cover 22 and the sleeve 60. The sleeve is recessed at 67 to accommodate radially movable detents in the driving unit, which are disengaged by pressing a knob (68, Figs.- 3 and 4, not shown) on the driving unit.
