Abstract
897,510. Ticket-issuing machines. ALMEX AB. Oct. 3, 1960 [Oct. 1, 1959], No. 33929/60. Addition to 867,336. Class 106 (3). In a machine, as in the parent Specification, for printing and issuing tickets from a strip or, alternatively, printing on an inserted card, the means for rendering ineffective the strip ticket issuing means includes a lever 6, pivoted at 5, on which one of the issuing rollers 8 is mounted, the latter being spring-urged into operative engagement with the driving roller 2 when counterclockwise rocking of the lever 6 is allowed by a cam 14. When a card 20 is inserted, however, it engages a tongue 15 and rocks a hook 17 to prevent the lever 6 from moving to engage the issuing rollers, and no strip ticket is issued. The inserted card 20 is located between the stationary ticket strip 4 and a carbon ribbon 24, the printing hammers (not shown) pressing against the lower side of the card through the ticket strip. This action marks both the card 20 and a record strip 25.
