Feeding webs.-A coin-freed ticket-issuing machine is adapted to cut and deliver tickets from a single feed roll, and to print the value (corresponding to the value of the coin inserted) on each ticket. A type-carrier 117 is positioned by hand-operated setting-mechanism through the intermediary of the inserted coin so as to bring the required type into position. The ticket strip 150 is pressed against the typecarrier by a platen 163 mounted in a pivoted platen frame 162 bearing a roller 164 working in a cam-groove 165 on a disk 158 driven from a motor shaft 4; the ticket is simultaneously numbered and dated by mechanism of well known type. A sliding plate 168 connected to the platen frame bears a projection 168<a> which enters a recess 169<a> in a plate 170 integral with the type-carrier, and also a pawl 173 which engages a ratchet 171 and feeds on the inking- ribbon 175. The strip 150 is fed to a delivery hood 166 by the raised portion 167 of a -roller 155 driven from the shaft 4 and co-operating with a roller 158, and is severed by a movable blade 184 which works in conjunction with a fixed blade 185. The movable blade is carried by a spring-controlled arm 191 pivoted to a lever 187 which bears a roller 186 working in the cam-groove 165. Wire clips 192<a> serve to guide the issuing strip, and a clip 192 and a guideplate 192<b> prevent the ticket from falling back into the apparatus.
