896,885. Air conditioning plant. RYGARD, S. O., [trading as INGENJORSFIRMAN SUNE RYGARD]. Dec. 4, 1958 [Dec. 5, 1957], No. 39111/58. Class 137. In an air conditioning plant for ships which comprises a casing 10 with an air inlet 22, an outlet 12 and a fan 26, a pressure chamber 38 is located between the outlet and air conditioning elements 28, 32, 34, 36, the pressure in the chamber 38 being automatically adjusted by a pressure controller 44 which regulates a valve 42 in a conduit 40 which connects the pressure chamber to the suction side of the fan 26. The air conditioning elements in casing 10 comprise a filter 28, a heating coil 32, a humidifier 34, and a cooling coil 36 which is supplied from a refrigerator 47 located in a lower casing 20 which is detachably secured to casing 10. The conditioned air is distributed via ducting 12 and flap valves 16 to individual enclosures such as cabins the valve 42 or controller 44 regulating the pressure so that the fan 26 supplies a constant quantity of air. A separate instrument chamber 48 located in casing 20 is supplied with conditioned air via conduit 50 and is connected via openings 52 with the suction side of the fan.
