896,676. Sighting devices. TUVERI, E. April 14, 1960 [April 15, 1959], No. 13314/60. Class 97(1). A sighting device (Albada type) for a rifle &c., comprises a tubular body 1 having at one end a reticle 5 carrying reference markings 6 located substantially on the optical axis and at the other end a semi-transparent concave mirror 2a separated from the reticle by a distance equal to its focal length. On looking through the reticle area around the marking 6 a view of the latter is obtained at infinity. The marking 6 may be in the form of a cross, or a closed figure such as a circle the image of which can enclose a target (Fig. 2). The size of the circle may for example be so chosen as to indicate the spread of shot from a shotgun.
