Abstract
895,188. Moulded pulp containers. KEYES FIBRE CO. Sept. 15, 1960 [Sept. 18, 1959], No. 31763/60. Class 18. A moulded pulp container 10 comprises a bottom 22 which is substantially rectangular in shape and side walls 14, 16 extending in an upwardly and outwardly inclined direction from the base, the inner and outer surfaces of each side wall being substantially parallel up to a point 26 of predetermined height, the inner surface extending upwardly as a co-planar continuation from the point 26 and then turning outwardly at 30 and then downwardly to form a rim, and the outer surface turning outwardly at 36 from the point 26 to merge with the inner surface. The container is of a shallow type used for packaging and displaying meat and can be covered by adhering a transparent plastic film over the open end. To permit nesting of the containers without difficulty in separating them the surfaces of the walls at 30 and 36 are curved and of substantially equal radii. The container has a reinforcing bead 40.
