Abstract

A moulded container for liquid products is formed by two symmetrical trays (7, 8) and a flexible plastics lining (9). The lining adheres to the flat edges of the two trays and the container is sealed by the two layers of plastics being pressed together when the two trays are brought together. The container can be in the form of a single tray and a flat lid. A spout (11) can be moulded in the container. The two trays can be made in a double mould, two hollows being formed in the face of the mould separated by a transverse wall. A single sheet of plastics liner can then be pressed into the two trays and the container formed by folding the plastics or cardboard at the level of the transverse wall.
