1451254 Heat-retaining boxes OHLER EISENWERK THEOB PFEIFFER 8 Jan 1974 [12 Jan 1973] 00763/74 Heading B8P [Also in Division F4] A heat-retaining container for transporting containers filled with foodstuffs comprises a trough-section member 1 of porous plastics material, the inside, a lid-receiving recess la and lateral outside walls being covered by cladding having a smooth outer surface. The cladding is formed from a sheet of plastics material, e.g. polystyrene, by a deep drawing process into a hollow body 1<SP>1</SP> corresponding in shape to the contours of the inner and outer walls of the member 1. The cladding is pushed on to the trough member 1, the lower portions HV are folded under the bottom of the member 1 and the cladding is then heat-welded to the trough member. The cladding may be formed in two panels. Fig. 4 (not shown).
