893,043. Cam-operated switches. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Oct. 10, 1960 [Oct. 30, 1959], No. 36926/59. Addition to 825,542. Class 38 (5). A thermally-operated switch device as in the parent Specification is modified by the insertion of a lever 2 between a peripheral cam lb (corresponding to cam 4 in Fig. 11 of the parent case) and the additional contact blade 4 (corresponding to blade 60 in Fig. 11 of the parent). The cam 1b is coaxially mounted on a shaft (Fig. 2, not shown), and the lever 2 is pivoted at 3 to a stationary support. Contacts 6, 7 are normally held open by lever 2 and only engage when a projection 2a thereon seats in a notch 1e in the cam so permitting the two heating elements to be connected in parallel.
